Burmese Community (Toronto) cordially invites you, family & friends to
Annual Burmese New Year Thingyan Festival in Toronto, Canada.
It is an opportunity to make new friends & reach out to others...
There will be delicious FOOD; variety of ENTERTAINMENTS
such as traditional dances (Burman and Ethnic Nationalities), songs,
thangyats (Burmese traditional Rap), and talent competition ……
Variety of traditional “Burmese Food” will be served but ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Playing with or splashing water at each other is a normal, (after all
it is a water festival!!), therefore, to avoid going home wet,
bringing some extra clothes is advisable. Please bring your own small
bucket or water gun to celebrate the water festival outside of the
building as Water Play (splashing water) inside the building is not
permitted.
There will be ENTERTAINMENT
consisting of dances, songs and thangyats (Burmese Rap Music).
Also, this year, we will have talent competition. Anyone can join the
competition. We will have prizes for winners too.

DIRECTIONS: Take TTC and get off at Spadina station then take south bound Street car to Cecil Street.
