"Freedom Vigils for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi"

We would like to invite you, your family and friends....

We will have a Vigil on June 17th to commemorate the amount of time Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has spent under house arrest and in custody since July 1989 and to honor her 65th birthday which is on June 19, 2010. The Vigil is also part of our efforts to persuade the Government of Canada and G8 leaders to include the Burma issues on the G-8 agenda.

This is one small way to remind the world that Burmese Democracy Icon and Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi is spending yet another birthday without her freedom. She remains under house arrest while the military plans sham elections and continues to commit crimes against the people of Burma.

Please come and join us on
