UN OCHA Situation Report Myanmar - Rakhine SitRep #5

Please find attached for your information the Emergency Situation Report # 5 on the displacement in Rakhine State.
This report is produced by OCHA on behalf of the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Myanmar. It covers the period from 6 to19 July 2012.

HIGHLIGHTS/KEY PRIORITIES  • The Government indicates that over 70,000 people are currently displaced.   • An inter-agency multi-sectoral rapid needs assessment was conducted in 114 locations in four townships (102 in Sittwe, 4 in Rathedaung, 7 in Maungdaw, 1       in Pauktaw), covering 104,719 IDPs. Major needs are identified in food, shelter, NFI, WASH and health.
