On April 17, you are invited to a rally to commemorate the 30th
Anniversary of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The event will
feature speeches from Liberal Leader Bob Rae and former Prime Minister
Jean Chrétien.
The Charter has made Canada the envy of the
world. Its promise of fairness, justice and opportunity is a beacon of
hope that has drawn millions of new Canadians to our shores.
Thirty years ago, it was a passionate and determined Liberal Minister of
Justice named Jean Chrétien, working alongside Prime Minister Pierre
Trudeau, who enshrined in the Charter our most cherished Canadian
values.
The event is free and it will definitely be memorable
for everyone in attendance. Come share in the moment and celebrate our
achievements.
